
Lorsque nous parlons d'univers post-apocalyptique dans le jeu vidéo, nous en venons très rapidement à citer Fallout premier du nom développé à l'époque par Black Isle. Celui-ci est en effet devenu une référence du genre grâce à son monde inspiré des années 50 et ses mécaniques de jeu au tour par tour. Depuis cette époque, les joueurs russes semblent avoir fait de Fallout 1 & 2 des références indétronables.
Ces derniers vouent en effet une sorte de culte à cette licence et c'est pourquoi nous pouvons découvrir plus ou moins régulièrement des jeux provenant de Russie - ou Ukraine - essayant de lui rendre hommage. Aujourd'hui, nous pouvons jeter un oeil sur ATOM RPG, un jeu que je vous avais déjà présenté une première fois en octobre 2016. Après un passage sur Steam Greenlight, ATOM se lance cette fois-ci dans l'aventure Kickstarter. Il est toujours question d'un conflit nucléaire entre les blocs de l'Est et de l'Ouest en 1986 ayant provoqué une apocalypse.
L'action du jeu se déroulera en 2005, dans le sud de l'ancienne URSS dans laquelle une nouvelle civilisation semble émerger des ruines encore fumante de la précédente. Le joueur y incarnera un espion travaillant pour une mystérieuse organisation portant le nom de Atom. Nous y rencontrerons plus de 300 personnages ayant leur propre personnalité, leur portrait et leurs propres ligne de dialogues. ATOM se déroulera dans un monde ouvert non-linéaire proposant une multitude de quêtes. Les combats seront quant à eux au tour par tour.
Difficile d'en dire pour le moment beaucoup plus puisque cette campagne Kickstarter est dans l'immédiatt un brin avare en information. Quoi qu'il en soit, ATOM RPG demande très sobrement 15 000$ et il en a récolté un peu plus de 2000$ au moment où j'écris cette news.

Stretch goal at $25000: Crafting system
It’s only natural in a survival situation to use whatever is close at hand. To represent this aspect of wilderness and urban survival, we are planning a simple but effective crafting system for the game.
Collect all manner of things and try to combine them to create something new… And who knows, maybe one day it will help you in a tight spot! Or seal your fate.

Grenade + duct tape + rat = interesting trap!
You can experiment with different combinations of items, but the success of the end result will be determined by the Tinkering skill.

Stretch goal at $30.000: Female protagonist
It’s easy to make an automatic male to female protagonist transition, by changing “he” for “she” at specific places in each line of dialogue.
However, this is not what we have in mind. Role-playing characters of different genders should come with slightly different and sometimes even unique experiences and varied story telling. Different approaches to solving the same quest situations are also needed.
Our aim is to make certain NPCs react to male and female protagonists differently, say different things, act differently according to the gender the player picked at the beginning of the game.
This needs a complete overhaul of most dialogues in the game – a task which isn’t that easy, seeing how we already have 3000+ lines, and the game isn’t even finished, not by a long shot. However, with extra donations, it will become possible for our writer team to start working full-time to make it happen.

Si ça peut permettre de balancer un gros seau de texte/gameplay/sandbox dedans , c'est encore mieux.
Et globalement, je préfère la vision Postapo venue de l'EST que de l'Ouest en général.

Perso j'aime bien cette vue "Fallout", qui est quand même plus jolie que F1/F2 il faut le dire.

# Update 6 (from Kickstarter)
It's time for another update, and we'd just like to start off with how grateful we are for all the amazing support you have given to our project. Youtubers making first look videos, backers and fans helping us out on forums and social networks. We have strong belief that we will get what we need to finish the game quickly and without any setbacks.

The last update was about our strech goals, but what about something that 100% will be in the final game? Well, the update we're going to share with you this week concerns the Battle System.
COVER SYSTEM
Duck and cover! A shoot-out in the Wasteland is no fun, unless you can hide behind a derelict wall, or some general rubble. There will be two main types of cover (those you crouch behind, and full body coverage, like the aforementioned wall) each one with a special set of animations.

INJURY SYSTEM
Now critical hits are sure to sting for a long time... Both NPC and Player alike will now sustain long-term injuries under various conditions. Unhealed injuries will hinder your abilities according to their type. But isn't that a fair price to pay for maiming your enemies in all the creative ways you can possibly imagine?!

MORE ANIMATIONS
We are finally working on various animations we planned from the start. More realistic attacks, no more holding guns wrong, cover animations, general body language improvements and many more.
...And yes, for all you gore-hounds out there. ATOM will finally feature maiming. In the most explosive ways possible...

Well, soon you won't have to think about it anymore! With things as they are, we can finally allow ourselves to spare some time on important details like beards, mustaches and buzz-cuts for the tough soviet working class men, and the most exquisite post-apocalyptic hairstyle fashions for the lovely ladies!

Every NPC gets a free make-over once this update hits! Even the random encounter people like raiders and bandits won't be forgotten - as they will now get random features! ATOM RPG: Flowing free like the facial hair of a road side vagabond!

I have some news about machine gun - unlock.

Changelog:
- New skill: "Automatic firearms" for assault rifles and machine gun;
- Added a separate slot for gas masks in your inventory. Now you can combine them with helmets;
- Better visuals for books and notes;
- New additions to the Factory quest line (now you can finish it);
- Better pathfinding for companions (for example, they don't block you in doorways);
- AI now can use legs to strike during battle;
- Better visuals for options menu and dialogues;
- New weapons and items;
- Human characters now can open doors;
- New battle mechanics: kick weapon from hands, blind…
- New animations;
- Fixed the distances on which you can start the conversation;
- Now there are changes in Otradnoye after the elections (after some time);
